This website uses Matomo On-Premise to generate statistics about the usage of the site. Matomo is fully open-source so that you can check its code and make sure there are no surprises.

As a rule, we either use cookies to make your browsing experience better, or we don’t deploy them at all. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your machine to help keep track of preferences and shopping cart content, and provide anonymised tracking data so as to know how visitors interact with this website. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.

This being said, you may prefer to disable all cookies and all sites you visit: the most effective way to do this is to disable them in your browser preferences. The Help section of your browser or the About Cookies website offer guidance for all modern browsers.

We rely on Wikimedia OAuth to identify users and link them to their Wikimedia account so that they can request Wikipedia-on-demand subsets. Please refer to the WMF’s privacy policy to see how they might handle this data. Your Wikimedia email address may be retrieved during this process: that email address, and any email address you provide to us on the WP1 site, are used solely for sending you notifications when your ZIM files have been processed. We will never sell your email address, or share it with any third party.

If you fill in and submit a form on this website, all data you provide is stored on our servers in Germany, operated by Raidboxes (see below). In addition, this data is transferred by email to our staff. Since email is not a secure channel we strongly recommend that you do not transfer any sensitive information through our forms.

Our online donation form is operated by Donorbox (Rebel Idealist LLC, 1885 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94103), while payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe, Inc., 185 Berry Street, Suite 550, San Francisco, CA 94107). • For any file request our webserver logs certain data about the device the request is coming from like IP address and User Agent. However, this data is not used to track individual users, and it is stored only for a limited time period.
