Paving the way for sustainable, universal access to free knowledge!

Kiwix is a non-profit organisation and open-source software project dedicated to making free educational content accessible offline, anywhere in the world. Billions of people still lack reliable internet access due to high costs, limited infrastructure, or censorship. Kiwix bridges this digital divide by empowering everyone with access to knowledge—no matter where they are or their budget.

Our open-source platform offers a vast library of free content through easy-to-use apps and readers. We’re proud that even our competitors build on our code to expand offline access to information.

In 2025, we launched our first hardware solution; a plug-and-play network station that lets you share your entire offline library with those around you. With Kiwix, you can bring the world of knowledge to your community—no internet required.

Proudly committed to bridging the digital divide since 2006.
